James, no time now for a comprehensive post, but I believe the importance of this gentleman "moving on" about 2 years ago is that it unshackled some of the brilliant researchers Valence has, such as Jerry Barker. In short, if Tibor had not left the company back then, Valence would not be offering manganese-based 145 Wh/kg Li-polymer cells in commercial volumes right now. All IMHO. Hope this helps, Gary.

James, Over two years ago Lev Dawson returned to become CEO and made some personnel changes.
Dr. Kis has not been on the team for approximately two years.

Therefore, the "...importance of the loss of Tibor Kalnoki-kis" can be measured only on a hypothetical basis as a "what if" question such as: "Would the team be in the superbowl if they hadn't made a quarterback change two years ago?"

We know quarterbacks often lead their new teams to success when the chemistry is right.

Re.: "...importance of the loss of Tibor Kalnoki-kis?"

VLNC management team is the best source to assess the importance of anyone or his/her value to company's growth. Since none of the posters here is on the VLNC management team, you can only expect some "speculations" from third party sources.
Another way to put this question to investors, (not traders) on this thread is: " Has VLNC failed to deliver products to customers on time? Are customers continuing to buy products from VLNC? Do the products specs meet or exceed customer requirements? Can any other manufacturer meet or exceed VLNC specs for this class of cells?" Since the answers to these questions can be verified by company public news releases, data sheets, product end users (consumers) and SEC filings, you have no need to speculate on "what if". jmo. Ram
