The question to ponder is what do you think will happen when the flow of funds turns negative by perhaps a like amount.
Lets not forget that we have 265 billion in margin debit behind perhaps much of the most volatile holdings.
And the answer is......
Time to get short with perhaps a starting long position in gold stocks (AU, PDG, ABX)......PDG by the way crossed at 7 3/4 on Thursday, which I believe is a record low for the past 5 years (thus I may be a bit early on this however PDG is going for 24 times earnings and is thus discounted a bit to the S&P).
Charger the air started to leak from the bubble this past week.
Buying the dip in a uptrending market has proven to be quite profitable.......in a down trending market it takes immesurable skill and dicipline (as has shorting in the up market).
This is the beginning of the end.......finding safe havens will be difficult. This next quarter will go down in history (maybe next week!).
