Kip, do you think heads will roll at Janus?

Good point about the end of the quarter effect. It proves the effect works both ways: Fund managers "paint the tape" at the end of quarter with high flying stocks, but they also blow out the losers to make themsleves look even wiser. It is a digusting practice, but alas, perfectly legal.

It also deosn't help that 6 health insurers are forming a consortium to create an electronic marketplace specific to their needs. Frankly, I think they are kidding themselves. 6 fierce competitors are going to build a shared software and hardware platform from the ground up? Give me a break. Why not go to HLTH, a company that is policy neutral.

I think the idea will fall apart because of squabbling. Same with the auto makers getting together.
