I've never heard of a trading floor for pink sheet stocks. And, if you can visualize this, the pink sheet trading floor (that I've never heard of before) is jammed with people in sufficient numbers for the MM to get lost in the crowd!

ROFL!!! It's just like the CBOE except that everybody's running around in pink jackets! <ggg>

Kerry,

I can't imagine what the trading floor for the pink sheets looks like. In fact, I've never heard of a trading floor for pink sheet stocks.

I heard that when the Toronto Stock Exchange went to an all electronic system a couple of years ago, they sold their old trading floor to the NASD, who disassembled it, shipped it to Boca Raton and had it reassembled in the new Pink Sheet Exchange and Grill (home of the famous "Beef and Booze Brunch Buffet").

Since there used to be some commodity trading on the Toronto floor, the NASD got the commodity pits thrown in for free when they got the floor. With the new pits, the NASD is looking at adding pink sheet trading for certain commodities that aren't traded on the CBOE or elsewhere. I understand that they are considering adding trading in string (in all its various forms) and previously used paper clips (separate contracts for bent and unbent).

You can visit the new pink sheet trading floor in Boca, but just like when you want to trade a stock there, it helps if you make an appointment (or a reservation if you're going for the buffet).

Regards,
John Sladek
