Microsoft has taken such an "engulf and envelop" strategy that they haven't left much for anybody else in the PC area, so I'm not sure many others get hurt. I picture it like penicillin in a Petri dish. I notice Klein says any remedy must not allow Microsoft "to stifle competition, hamper innovation and limit consumer choice" which is interestingly parallel to the Gates mantra.

Curiously, I think it might be good for the PC makers (long term), who may be emboldened to break out of the "strictly clone" mold and actually deliver something innovative.

I think SUNW will pop upwards on the perception that Microsoft domination is waning.

JMHO, of course.
