Rarebird,

I think you are right about a lot of the hot money moving to Arrowpoint on its IPO debut.

Another factor may be the aggressiveness of shorts. Short interest jumped from 689,451 in January to 1,087,872 in February. March short interest was 1,086,276. With an average monthly volume of 1,048,907, FFIV had a Short Interest ratio of 1.04. The average SI ratio for Q100 (1.03) was higher than the average for Q499 (0.71) and the average short position was about 2X as large. Since overall trading volume increased, the conclusion seems to be that shorts have been dominating more of the recent trading volume.
