I believed when I undertook this assignment that it was in the national interest that the case be settled, and I believe it even more strongly today." This is a very serious statement from Judge Richard Posner which should make DOJ and States think twice when the case goes to U.S. Court of Appeals where Richard Posner is Chief Judge.
