I talked to someone in the margin dept and they did confirm what you said. I think I will sign up. The full margin requirements for naked options (rrufff asked) are:
50% of the underlying stock price, the premium and an point-for-point adjustment for in or out-of-the-money. It is very high but I rarely use margin so I think I will be OK.
