If Ike could not care less, he should not be surprised when others feel the same way. M

That is the feelings of one Jew in Israel. I am sure there are many more like him. There are many Jews --- including the government -- that are willing to trade land for Peace and try to settle the dispute. It is completely one-sided opinions like Ike's and the extremist Palestinians that guarantee continued war and terrorism on both sides until everyone is dead.
We know that no one can or should forget oppression, past conquests and wars, and that no one can judge the amount of guilt on either side. Maybe in a hundred years or so of absence of war, either side will attempt to compensate for what it (or its allies -- like Hizballah and Irgun and Stern Gang) have done wrong. Many Americans want to compensate Native Americans for what was done wrong. Many Americans are pleased that Japanese internees received an apology (and token compensation) for their oppression during World War II.

I couldn't care less if the Jews killed all of the Palestinians or if the Palestinians killed all of the Jews.

I have no sympathy for either side because their fight is based primarily on religion. If the Palestinians converted to the Jewish faith or the Jews converted to the Muslim faith they would be hugging and kissing each other.

If the Confederacy was based on a religion we would STILL be fighting the Civil War.
