Normally, the last hour or so, I am told, are the daytraders and specs exiting positions. So they were net long and wanted out over the weekend.

Can't say I blamed them <g>.

It looked like a large or a few sell program(s) hit the NYSE just before the close. I would not assume that the sell program(s) just hit the DOW stocks. IMO, there are a lot of old line stocks that still at "very" high prices relative to risk free interest rates. This problem will get fixed, but I don't know when. <ggg>
