Dan,

Who would you have owning and (if a different entity) running this CLOB?

<I'd like to hear other traders opinions on a CLOB.>

I don't care about a CLOB too much, but all I'd like to do is have all the ECNs give fills with Island like speed. Once they are hit, they should get the heck off the bid/ask if it's a full fill, or if a partial fill it should update the size right away.

And eliminating the MM's time advantage in preferencing would also be fun.

Personally I don't care if the ECNs cause fragmentation and we get crossed markets - I just wish I had the speed to take advantage when I see INCA bidding 101 3/8 and REDI offering 101 3/16... but my fingers just ain't fast enough, and because of the fill delays you don't know if one side of the arbitrage is done or not.
