What you received was a combination of a cold shoulder and "shunning". Bad.

Cha2, take off your agent hat. :)

I would like to put the reception or lack of reception of ideas about a product into perspective. No matter how obvious it is to an author about the efficacy of a product, that person should not be upset if it is not similarly percieved by thread participants. The guarantee is that the thread allows the proposal of an idea so long as it is within the approximate constraints of the thread's intended focus. There is no guarantee that there will be any particular reaction or, if there is one, that it will be a positive reaction.

Perfect examples: When I joined the thread I threw out the possibilities of Gemstar, Siebel and Citrix being tossed around for discussion. The only one people were interested in at the time was Siebel. I continued my own personal due diligence on the other two. For reasons I'm unsure of, people later became interested in discussing Gemstar, probably because I brought Stew here to do a better job of explaining the company's prospects than I did. As I write this, there still has been so little interest in Citrix that I rarely bring it up. Yet I continue to persue my own due diligence.

Am I offended or perplexed that people don't seem to show a lot of interest in Citrix or that it took a reasonably long time for people to show an interest in Siebel and Gemstar? Not at all. That's their right. That's their choice. I respect it greatly.

Oh, what a lot of hooey!!!!

I'm not aware of any organized effort at "shunning" or otherwise.

There are a few of us who still go to work each day, you know. In my case, I'm also working this weekend again, too.
Ergo, it's my love for this thread and its membership that inspires me to keep reading, but I cheat by not responding to what I've read sometimes. That doesn't mean what was posted isn't valuable or important.

Posting in a busy world, particularly relevant information, deserves some thanx and kudos.......unfortunately, some of us don't have the time for even these courtesies occasionally.
