The reason for RTIN's bad spread on Friday was due to the fact that several of the market makers pulled out on Wednesday leading up to the dividend date on Friday. RTIN usually has about 15 MM's and only had about 5 on Thursday/Friday. I was told by "someone in the know" that many of the MM's don't care to trade in a stock on a dividend date. I expect things to get back to somewhat normal tomorrow.....and expect most of the MM's to return. It did have a new MM pop up on Thursday on the bid, and didn't even offer out any shares. I've checked them out and they should be a friendly. I wish I would see a lot more MM's that did that!!!! (Post bid prices and not post offer prices) Lee
