I agree that there is going to be a new "MSFT TAX" on the computer buyer to pay for litigation. I feel this will be more inflationary more so that gas costing $2.00 per galon.

Don - re: except for DEll who didn't sink to the level of others to testify against MS.

CPQ was the only OEM who testified for MSFT - in fact the only product manufacturer of any type who testified for MSFT.

Michael Dell appeared at a senate hearing but did not testify on either side.

HP also did not take a position on either side, although the DOJ tried to pull them in on a couple of issues.

ONE Remedy......

Microsoft has defaulted OFF the REAL Internet which just began early this year.

There is ONE network.

There is ONE truth.

Ironically and unbelievably, Microsoft's powerfully myopic sense of self-congratulatory power has, overnight, placed itself in the position of morphing into the being THE exposed caged animal in this saga.

Gates and Balmer previously thought they OWNED not only the cage, but the entire platform which supported the cage and all the animals - US - which spun their windows and wheels. Moreover, they also believed the ultimately owned all the tools, services and food that fed the people in these little cages - whether sold by others now and ultimately by themselves in the future.

What's the REAL Internet.

It's when the world reaches the point where the power has shifted:

AWAY from government
AWAY from corporations
AWAY from organized religions
AWAY from all monopolies that prey on the energies and fears of INDIVIDUALS

Where has the power shifted to?

The answer: INDIVIDUALS

The REAL Internet is about ONE Network which is selflessly owned by ALL.

The REAL players in this New Age will NOT be companies that selfishly try to hold on to their power, pride and control.

For the leaders of the REAL Internet of this New Age will be all about selfless acts of "giving up" power and control.

For the REAL Internet of this New Age will be all about ONE thing: SERVICE.

Helping and Serving others is the paradigm of the REAL Internet which just began this year.

The only strange thing about this picture is that Gates and the government could actually be best bedfellows. This whole thing may really be nothing more than a charade to distract us from other games going on behind the scenes.

Then again, Gates may emerge on a White Horse and this may all come to a fantastic central point where the ultimate BLUFF hand is played.

Gates and Balmer may in the end decide to actually completely and totally GIVE-UP control, collapse the pyramid of power and - like a Phoenix - ensure that the rise of a babble of Bills takes place against the backdrop of a rapacious and greedy Federal Government.

Gates may hold the ultimate final ace in the hole.

It just all depends on whether he has the guts to play the hand and whether the investing public believes that the REAL power in this New Age is all about giving up power and control.

Peace.

GO!!

File your lawsuit to against DOJ!
How much money did you lose on 4/3/2000 caused by DOJ? File your lawsuit to Thomas Penfield Jackson and ask him to order DOJ to pay the bill as DOJ violates the law that government should not work for a small interest group and its personal ambitions.
