If MS did Office for Linxu, then Corel could sue for MS interfering with trying to market Wordperfect Office for Linux.

Either these guys confused Office and Back Office - or they think that Office runs on the server...

But actually that proposal is not as stupid as it at first appears. Support for word and excel for the Mac was a big early boost for those programs and helped establish the GUI based versions. If MSFT got all of the applications business for any LINUX desktop sales, how bad a deal is that for MSFT? They sell a $200 license where otherwise they would sell nothing...
