just read that DLJ (who loves this deal for VRTS, naturally) raised the VRTS 12-mo. price target from $133 to 142 and change on 3/30. Hello? VRTS closed at 131 Friday, down 14 1/4. I know some analysts have a $200 price tgt, but I just don't buy it - could be dead wrong, however. It is a great company and boy are they in the right place at the right time, but I absolutely believe they will have a ton of strong competition. I wouldn't bet against EMC, or IBM for that matter. What's going to drive VRTS stock if GAAP loses favor?
