Wow this is getting more and more humorous! Conspiracy stuff. I LOVE IT!

<the rumours on that board are that 'someone' was gonna go heavily long on gold, and destroy the shorts, but the 'someone' agreed to wait six months to let the more important parties get their positions straightened away...it strikes me as dubious, yet i don't think it would take much to push gold into the stratosphere. heck, look at what short squeezes have done for particular stocks... >.

Gold is dead. Who would go long on gold - all the governments of the world that have been dumping it like crazy the last four years?? Much of that gold dumped has still not been absorbed into the world mkts. Gold will not be going into the "stratosphere" in our lifetimes.

BTW, do you know what happens in India when the price of gold or silver goes up much?
