It bugs me when the "Too much margin" card is tossed about sans any figures on the number of new online traders. You know that near-exponential graph of "margin debt" you've seen in every paper lately? Well, I'd like to see the graph of "Percent Online Trading Increase" overlaid on top of it since 1998, especially since the Y2K first quarter cash inflow to most funds is near record highs (I'll have to revisit this weekends Barron's...the first couple of pages, I think, buried in the Tiger fund collapse discussion).

Speaking of Barron's, they pretty much determined his policy has been a series of happy accidents.

Buy on the dips; ignore the talking ones.
