Hello PJ, I agree with your two points, and suggest that #1 has a tremendous amount of value in "eyeball" points. I think that they need to leverage this application to gain visibility, and then provide specific customization and support services behind it ... If they realized what they had, they would evolve it to be a platform for other directory applications, and then upgrade users to an extensible version. They could then sell extended applications services to corporations, etc. The Open Source model makes far too much sense these days ... for multiple reasons. This isn't even stepping that far!
