True. But the GSM market share of wireless is over 40% compared to CDMA's 8%. Thus, even with a lower part of the W-CDMA market QCOM will have a market (in absolute measure) several times what it has now.

Sooooooooooo..

We talked a lot about GSM networks being ripped up and replaced by CDMA but zip about CDMAone to WCDMA conversions. Any idea what would be involved?Strange, they don't seem to feel confident that there will be "converged" multi-mode handsets.

If the perplexing DDI story proves true who might be next? It could get pretty lonely out there for CDMAone carriers.
