Sirius Radio Sets Satellite Launch Schedule

NEW YORK, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Sirius Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI - news), the satellite radio broadcaster, today announced that Sirius-1, the first satellite in its three satellite constellation is scheduled to be shipped to its launch site May 31st and launched June 28th. Sirius-2 is scheduled for launch in September and Sirius-3 in October.

Sirius Satellite Radio (http://www.siriusradio.com) is building a digital satellite radio system that will broadcast an unprecedented breadth of unique, compelling music and entertainment programming to motorists throughout the continental United States. Sirius plans to offer 50 channels of commercial- free music all created at the company's National Broadcast Studio in New York City, and up to 50 channels of news, sports and entertainment programming for a monthly subscription fee of $9.95. Sirius Radio expects to begin broadcasting nationally at the end of this year.
