Dear Charles: OK, I read it. I personally DISAGREE with the comment that a Bush administration would softpedal MSFT. Here is why, any politician is concerned with Votes as well as money. Remember there are a NUMBER of states (big vote states) in this too. If they are UNHAPPY it wont go down well and could prove costly in Congress. As to money I am sure the aggregrate of the other side at least equals MSFT in contributions. If I were Bush or any other politician I would try to stay out of the fray as much as possible.
Isnt it funny how some people McNealy and others felt the Govt. position was a surrender and MSFT thought it was an unmitigated grab? Beauty is still in the eye of the beholder. JDN
