Scott, maybe you're over-analyzing. I get only ONE consistent observation from the semiconductor shipment vs price chart: price drops several months before shipments peak. I would not rely on cycle length prediction [I used to, but changed my mind]. So all we need to do is guess if shipments will continue to increase. If the answer is yes, our KLIC is safe - unless institutions decide the MSFT uncertainty is bad for ALL tech. :) Gottfried This is a good discussion, no matter what the outcome.
