Ausdaurer,

Understand that I have no axe to grind with regard to the existence of a tornado in digital cameras. I'm simply concerned that people might be making invetment decisions being certain of the existence of a tornado with nothing other than anecdotal evidence.

If I saw people regularly writing here qualifiying their thoughts about a digital camera tornado, indicating that they "think" the tornado probably is in place or that there is a lot of anecdotal, Peter Lynchian research supporting the probability of it I would feel better. But when I see people writing that they are certain of it without any doubt and no empirical evidence, my fear is that as a thread we begin to evolve into group think and look for what we want to see.

Just my way of looking at things.

Aus, you know I like my digital camera, but lets not get too enthusiastic. They still have a long way to go. At the low end, (500 to 1000), you cannot shoot action. I know. everytime I try to get a dance shot, it blurs.

The mass market is real low end, under $100. Digital has a long way to go to get this market.
