Substance "P" What's the scoop on digital camcorders? Thinking about buying one but the prices for the "good" ones are around 2K. I would not spend $2,000.00 on a digital camcorder because I have a perfectly good hi-8mm camcorder that I bought about 8 years ago. Some of the newer digital cameras will be hybrids capable of filming 8 or 10 second video captures with audio. I think that until solid state memory capacity increases that I would probably hold off on a new purchase. Within two years I may consider a digital camera/digicam hybrid purchase. The current hybrids compromise functionality of one or the other. Aus
