Tharas Systems, Novas Software Ink OEM Agreement
Will Work Cooperatively to Improve Verification, Debug, Simulation
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 3, 2000--Electronic Design Automation (EDA) supplier Tharas Systems Inc., based here, today signed an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Novas Software, Inc. (Novas), of San Jose, Calif., an EDA company that offers Debussy©, the Knowledge-Based Debugging(TM) system.

The two-year agreement gives Tharas Systems the right to license the Debussy debugging system and to tightly integrate it with its soon-to-be-introduced hardware accelerator, Hammer© 50/32. By working together, Tharas Systems and Novas will help improve and accelerate the way designers verify and debug their designs within a register transfer level (RTL) simulation environment.

``Debussy is a proven hardware design and debug tool,' remarks Steve Carlson, CEO of Tharas Systems. ``The combination of Hammer and Debussy offers designers a fast, efficient verification and debug solution.'

Paul Huang, Novas Software's chairman of the Board and chief executive officer, notes, ``Improving designer productivity is a key requirement today. This agreement further strengthens our relationship with the EDA industry and its emerging players and is another example of how a combination of tools becomes greater than its parts for improving designers' productivity.'
