Actually the social male is dependent on a context and the primary context is his fit with peer males, females, and children. The role of father is the most distinct identifier in defining the social male in our culture. When other males, females, and children are defined outside of that context, we deny the responsibility of society in the posterity of our species. Who cares who or what is equal to an indistinct male.
