Dear Rinse and Edwarda: There are the lumpers and the slicers.

I had a chat with some lady on this thread about universal views of sort of all things. She advised that there are those who lump (or something like that) and those that slice (or something like that) - one tends towards generalization, the other to minute specification.

Any way, I am a lumper. And you two guys are splitters, or slicers, or separators.

Let me first take Altruism. Edwarda has a fantastic philosophically pure, academic, maybe even scholastic, approach to the subject. It necessitates visisection and analysis. I appreciate all that, but have little interest in it. Alturism, as a general concept, is a necessity of our improving species. Fine lines be damned.

Rinse, your blatant statements reviling altruism are, admit it please, balderdash.

Conceptually versus specificically. Two vastly differing ways to see our space.

And now, Rinse, let me humiliate you.

I quote you with this one: >>But adults are required to understand, and act upon the realization, that the theory is fiction. People don't operate that way.<< This related to the theory of pure socialism.

Please, Rinse, read your words several times - slowly. And prepare yourself to edit more delicately before issuing such self-contradicting hogwash.

Love to all,

George
