I found this post and wanted to put it on my thread and also looked at the Flag release and wanted to make sure that all know that "anomalous" means that nothing is there or perhaps it means grades are so low, that Murdo can't report them. Becareful!!! It is important to know and see the difference.
This is a different intrusion and they have to drill deep where Pfn's unique property is surface, a rare occurrence.
Back to holidays and Pfn is rocking!

Interesting report that seems to have been recorded before the 1st 3 cores were analyzed. Doesn't matter though because the 1st 3 cores show signicicant mineralization. The next 10 will be the beginning of a mine maker ( or heart breaker). Of interest was the comment on the mineralization trend that extends for 6 kilometers. And the discovery is on this trend. One other item that is noteworthy is that the initial drilling took place because of outcrops on this trend. I can't help but summize that Amplats is here because of this trend and it's potential. Interesting as well is that PFN's geologists staked the complete trend before doing any drilling. You can be sure that Amplat's geologists tramped all over this trend before committing a partnership to explore PFN's property. As far as I'm concerned we havn't even seen the 1st chapter in this book. The drill bit will now unfold the story. If the tonnage and grade are there we will see a significant increase in the value of PFN. Also , it doesn't take much rock to make 100 million tons. If there are other anomalies on the 6 km trend there could be a tiny bit more than 100 million tons of ore. I think I'm going to "raise" in this poker game.

Interesting post, and thanks Koan.

Like many of you, I am not knowledgeable in geology to profess any kind of professional evaluation of these latest results.BUT I was fortunate enough to have attended the Toronto PFN presentation held in the prestigious National Club (founded 1868) on Bay St. today. In fact I just got back and would like to share my observations for anyone who might be interested.
I should say I am primarily invested in ITF with a smaller position in Aquiline.

CEO Harry Barr did an admirable job delineating the backgrounds of PFN, ITF and CVV, then went on to point out the results of holes 5,6 and 7. He was followed by an excellent presentation from geologist Scott Jobin-Bevans and chartered engineer Colin Bird.

Following the presentations, which lasted about 90 minutes, I remained for about 1 hour to indulge in some complimentary self-lubrication and to soak up any tidbits I could from several individuals far more versed in these things than myself. (Geology and mining, that is, not self-lubrication!)

Here are my conclusions and comments:

1. These latest drill results are excellent. They lend further confirmation to what the first 3 holes suggested, ie that we are looking at a huge PGM multi-million tonne deposit of a size and grade at least comparable and quite possibly greater than the Lac des Illes deposit.

2. What makes this particularly attractive is that, unlike S. Africa, one of the 2 leading world producers (the other being Russia beset with economic problems), the Ontario find has great ease of access-Mr. Bird pointed out you can easily move in with bulldozers and dumptrucks. In S. Africa, the miners hunch over in tiny confined spaces with unstable mineroofs and floors. No such access problems here. Apparently in the new era of mining, everything comes down to tonnage, not chasing obscure veins here and there.aND sUDBURY IS SHOWING HUGE TONNAGE SO FAR.

3. South Africa mines have palladium to platinum in a 1 to 3 ratio. The PFN deposit reverses that ratio: 3:1 for palladium which makes this project very desireable to Amplat.Palladium prices should remain or get stronger as the metal is highly sought-after for computer hard drives, catalytic converters and the newer fuel cells such as Ballards which have an 8% palladium component.

4. The drill results to date show 7 hits on 7 holes. You cannot ask for more. Moreover, the grid surface samples showed almost none of a poor grade; the vast majority had at least a good grade status with many of high grade. In other words so far we are seeing a CONSISTENTLY PREDICTABLE HIGH GRADE DEPOSIT OVER A
BROAD AREA.

5.According to one corporate official I spoke to afterwards, the most important numbers in these 7 drill results are the thickness figures which he says are outstanding: from holes 1 through 7: 203, 158.5, 87.10, 91.7, 97.4, 60.4, and 321.2.

6. Regarding ITF specifically, the company will be releaqsing a PR within 2 weeks at the latest to clarify their position and land holdings. I am not at liberty to reveal everything I overheard concerning ITF-you can imagine the banter going on between cigars and refills- but I can tell all ITF holders this. I WOULD HOLD ONTO MY SHARES AND ACCUMULATE MORE. One reason for this, and this is completely apart from the extensive Sudbury stakings the company holds, is that ITF is the PRINCIPLE MINING COMPANY IN THE VERY RECENT ALASKA DISCOVERY. Although itŠs too early to say for sure, this could be very significant. But of course, the sizeable Sudbury lands the company holds yet to be specified, is another important reason to hold pat.

7. This entire play is only just getting started. I spoke with the gentleman in charge of US promotions who told me they will be presenting soon in the US where the discovery is virtually unknown as yet. He will also be contacting such mining luminaries as Bob Bishop (who has already done 1 article I believe) and the well-respected Doug Casey. Already of course, other notable mining commentators such as Fagan, Andrew Muir and Dines have made favorable preliminary comments on this unfolding drama and could well be planning additional comments following the latest results.

Well, thatŠs about it. There were about 100 in attendance and everyone was very upbeat about the latest results and future prospects. Could not come at a better time, could it , considering the recent tech wreck!

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS, PFN AND ALL PERIPHERY PLAYS.

(Yes, I heard estimates of the stock price for tomorrow and I will only say they are appreciably higher than todayŠs closes. Please dont ask for more.)
