AMF: Your reply shows how difficult communication is on these threads.

I thought I was being helpful, since the substance of your post has been and is being discussed in considerable depth on the SP 500 Q thread. It is a complex subject and very fluid right now. Again I was simply trying to make it possible for you to see the most current relevant thinking.

My comment about digital cameras was a mild joke on my part.

If you will notice I have contributed nothing to the discussion of digital cameras (since my "joke" bombed, that is not a contribution), so I hardly would tell you to go away and not interupt that discussion. I am not part of it.

I am reminded that the old saying, if you want to make an enemy, do them a good deed.

I thought I was being helpful and doing a "good deed".

I am delighted to discuss any aspect of Qualcomm on this thread if you wish, since without any question Qualcomm is a gorilla.

Your choice.

Best.

AMF,

Since the subject of your post has come up twice and I still have about 30 messages to review, I'll mention that I don't spend a lot of time thinking or dwelling on each and every good or bad news item about the adoption of product. Though I would have preferred that all firms go the way of CDMA2000 because it puts Qualcomm more in control, the company will derive revenue from those who go the way of WCDMA instead.

Don't ask me why Qualcomm is more in control with CDMA2000. All I know is that that seems to be the overwhelming consensus. After all, I'm only a carpetologist and soon I won't even be that. :)
