I do not think what the judge has to say will have that much on an impact either way. Does the judge actually have the authority to suggest a remedy or damages? I think he is only ruling whether a monoply exist or not. MSFT will appeal given the stakes, so I expect this to take years to resolve.
In the mean time business will go on as usual.

MSFT rose on expectation of a settlement, so it would need good news to fuel a rebound. I get the impression that Windows 2000 sales are going well but not spectcular, so I am not sure MSFT will get the good news it needs to get a substanial pop in the stock. There is a lot of negative sentiment as the old management is leaving as the company matures. There is an impresssion that days of MSFT being a license to print money is over.
