Is the old economy stocks now going to be considered a safe haven which I heard someone say on CNBC? That would be ludicrous.

Maybe it is, but it is an improvement from the situation where internet stocks trading at 500 times sales were being considered as safe havens.

Hey, the old economy put many of my trades in the red. Looks like my timing was premature on my Naz return-rotation theory. Looks like they want to go to the old economy today to start the new quarter. I guess they call this a rotational bear market <g>.

As far as the S & P 500 goes, they take money out of some to put into others and the S & P 500 does nothing.

Interesting article in the new Forbes about what the smart money is starting to do with old economy stocks. I think the next couple years will be fascinating. The whole theory behind the article is that the companies have earnings, the assets can be bought for a steal and the buyers will make the company a new economy stock.
