Actually it is a Hawaiian word meaning "smart", "clever" or "in the know". Somebody who is akamai is usually a person who understands "how things really work around here and how to get things done." No charge, looks like you already paid at the pump. Don't you know how things work around here? The akamai traders sold a while ago :)
