And the kicker is the market drug us down at a time when all TA charts were pointing to a break out.

what TA charts were pointing up? We made a hapless attempt to break through 5,000 on the naz with weak volume. A obvious double top. Then missed support at 4,550. If we do not hold here at these levels, next stop is right below 4,000. I would assume that margin and fear have a lot to do with today's selling.
