(CBS.MW) -- EMC, Cisco and Oracle on Monday announced an alliance that includes joint sales and marketing plans and a joint development center to better marry their respective storage, networking and software products. Dominant forces in their respective niches, some analysts say that the three companies already form a powerful infrastructure technology cartel. EMC, (EMC: news, msgs) Cisco (CSCO: news, msgs) and Oracle (ORCL: news, msgs) were among the top-five performers in the S&P 500 last year.
