Once things have gone on for a while its not the folks who have lived through an era who are likely to start bitching about the Emperor's cloths. After all they have their 401K based in the funds created by clothing manufacturers. You can't expect the youth to buy into it though. Each generation they are getting hipper to the establishments BS at a younger age. The generation coming up do not see the social movement issue that was present in the seventies and eighties. They do feel bound to compete one against the other, and male against female, in materialistic pursuits because its what they are familiar with. The idea of "its me and you against the world baby," is very old fashioned. They are struggling with how this makes sense. I am confident that they will explain it to us.
