I read The Moon is a Harsh Mistress quite some time ago. It is certainly worth a re-read. Who, if anyone, do you think has assumed the mantle of preeminent libertarian sci-fi author? I haven't paid careful attention lately, but Jerry Pournelle and Larry Niven seem like they fit the bill. James P. Hogan should be considered too. Are there authors you know of who carry on the Heinlein tradition?

So far, I have decided to give Asimov and Heinlein joint credit for their contribution to the development of the modern science fiction genre, so Heinlein is on the list. There may be further revision, and I have changed the heading to reflect a renewed push for discussion, so feel free to comment on the inadequacy of the change, if it strikes you so <VBG>........
