Yip yip, and if you're long the QQQ from last year, the object is to pick the capitulation bottom... and average up IMO. Of course some hedging wouldn't hurt. Who cares if you have to pay short term cap gains on a QQQ short for the purposes hedging? (especially when you can get 500+ points on the index within a week's time) If I had, say $500K, and wasn't interested in having to follow the markets during my every waking hour, that's what I'd do. Toss in a few solid microcaps and you're sitting pretty... JMHO
