Citizen Gates

RE: "However, if the government wants to micromanage the development of the Windows OS (2k+ or 9x+), as a part of the settlement and have AGs and the feds approving every inclusion/exclusion, there will be no products shipped from MS. There is no point in agreeing to a settlement of that nature. It is best to fight it till the end..."

The government has indicated that it has no interest in running the day to day activities of Microsoft. I think that leaves Break-Up as the only real viable option, because it makes the job simple.

I would put my money in the OS division. (The software division leaves me cold. The services division would depend too much on OS cooperation, which may not be as extensive as before.)

PS: "Fight to the end"?!Down boy. The drop today was modest. There is plenty of room for an additional modest drop or two. Pricing is relative, not absolute. Also, Bill Gates is not actively defending the price these days. Shareholders are on their own. H.

Well...Judge Jackson is feeling daring today. The Verdict is out, quote "Stinking and very 'sharp' words". This is very rough, holy. What software is Judge Jackson using to write this? Corel Wordperfect?
