I think movement back into the techs will be very selective now, and one needs to have a long term view.

I agree. That means only big, profitable techs are coming back. SOTD (stock of the day) will not do nearly as well.

I am concerned about margin impact. I have no margin problem of my own, thank God. But I know many people have bought high flyers on margin. Does anyone have any insights other than "margin release will drive price down"? If we expect calls to go out after today, when do you all think margin related selling will peak? IMO that will be Wednesday or Thursday. So by the end of the week this whole correction thing may be flattening out a bit.

Anyone?

Hi there, sn diego,

I thought of you more than once at the options seminar. You would have loved it, I think. i'll be working on you to attend the next one.

Yes, I agree it was a really painful day for many, myself included. I took profits, faced some losses, and expressed my most bullish opinions by selling naked puts on BRCM and the QQQ. My only new call position was SUNW, who I figured would do well in the face of MSFT's spanking tonight.

Vendit's thread is hopping and full of great information, as usual. He was right about BVSN's chart: the only bright spot in the Nas that I can see.

May you be very successful with your positions, my friend.
