April 03, 2000 17:56 CVS.com launches WebMD-integrated site LOS ANGELES, April 3 (Reuters) - CVS.com, the online unit of CVS Corp. , the nation's largest drugstore chain, said Monday that launched its updated Web site which is linked to Internet health care company Healtheon/WebMD Corp. Under the terms of the deal, CVS.com will be the exclusive e-pharmacy for Healtheon's WebMD (http://www.webmd.com) and its health channels. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Woonsocket, RI-based company also said that it would launch its alliance with Merck-Medco, Merck & Co.'s pharmacy benefit management unit in June. Under the terms of that deal, CVS will become the only pharmacy to accept online prescription orders from Merck- Medco's nearly 51 million members, customers will also be able to buy over-the-counter products on the site.
