Well, I wasn't actually looking for self disclosure even though I offered some of my own. I was trying to reinforce your earlier point. You pointed out that you are not constrained by traditional requirements in lifestyle. Me either. That being said what are the characteristics that make a man, a man. You say head of household. This is a traditional role and is typically seen as masculine. There is significant research to indicate that when men lose the perception of themselves as head of household they are less viable. Sometimes this is a biproduct of loss of breadwinning and protector status. Yet, there is some dispute as to whether we should claim this as a male role at all. You are an example of someone who claims to maintain this masculine characteristic without the association of the breadwinning and protector status. That is why you have the perfect vantage point to analyze it. The counter part of head of household is head of the home culture (keeper of the flame) which is traditionally a female role.
