It's because everyone in America wants to sue everyone else. When you jump off a cliff in Germany they look at you and say "damn, you're pretty f%$@%#%$ stupid" (in German) and that's it. In America, you sue somebody for letting you jump. There always has to be somebody who pays for those too dumb to take care of themselves.
