From my own view, I am not too bothered about where the stock is going tomorrow, next week or next year. I'm holding for at least 5 years and have a gut feeling that the stock will be significantly higher then than now. Regardless of the final outcome of the DOJ case.

Speaking as a shareholder who held Microsoft through the turbulence of the Gulf War and the Apple lawsuit and observed equal pontification of idiots proclaiming Microsoft's demise, I'd say you've selected a profitable strategy. Sure, we'll see some volatility, but in a few days the media will move on as this story becomes stale, and investors will catch their breath and as their initial panic subsides, will evaluate today's events and future possibilities and plot a more reasonable response to the unfolding of this farce. With any luck, the current appetite for gloating we're witnessing on this thread will abate too, as the writers become as bored with their vacuous thinking as the readers.

Cheers, PW.
