New guys are no dummies: They are cleaning up

the balance sheet and administering the write-down medicine now, not after a year on their watch. If they waited, the Camafuca rathole would still be attributable to departed management, but having it blighting an annual report still another year down the road would deliver a "more of the same" message to investors. They are setting the stage for at least some improvement in April 2001's report, especially if the diamond finders can find some diamonds.

For my remaining shares SUF has turned into a long term PGM play. Disconsolate diamond investors just have to think of this stock as a PGM play that's much cheaper than Stillwater (although, sorry to say, deservedly so).
