Victor, <X-box is dead on arrival.> Although I agree with your statement here, I have to wonder whether the RMBS bulls on this thread would be so negative on X-Box if it supported RDRAM from the get-go. For example, on the AMD thread, there was nothing but praise and anticipation of X-Box when it was rumored to support an AMD processor. When Microsoft switched to Intel, there was a severe case of sour grapes among the AMD supporters. I still think X-Box will support Rambus. It only makes sense. The only argument against Rambus in X-Box is the huge price premiums and limited supply we're experiencing right now. But surely that hasn't slowed down Sony's Playstation 2. I'm sure later on, Microsoft will change their minds and go with Rambus over DDR, just as they changed their minds once before and went with Intel processors over AMD. And yet I still think X-Box will lose to Sony Playstation 2, even with Intel processors and RDRAM. Go figure. Tenchusatsu
