All that I know is that I have been consistently wrong with my market direction calls. My stockpicking hasn't been too bad in the past couple of weeks, but certainly nothing that is going to make me rich.

I guess that the market didn't believe my capitulation on Friday.

I'm just going off the top of my head here from experience, but in an individual stock, volume on a capitulation day is double or triple (or sometimes more). Look at LU recently. It's capitulation day was 20X normal volume. With an index it isn't as high, but it certainly has to be a significant percentage above the average daily volume. Today's 1.7 billion is probably close to the average for the last 30 days. Many days we have been near 2 billion. Jeff
