Joe, I do think Gore is stupid. He has just answered the only real question there was about GWB, is he ready to lead.
On the issue of the poor little Cuban boy, Gore sat back, said nothing and after many months has now stuck a knife in the President's back.
This Cuban boy issue shows Gore was indecisive about a foreign policy matter while on the same subject, GWB's statement has been clear on the matter from the beginning and he has not changed his position. After all these months the Gore now agrees with Bush.
You can't flip flop on issues of foreign policy as a President can get a lot of people killed that way.
No, I don't think Al Gore is smart at all. I think he gave the Republicans the best sound bites in years "If Bill Clinton can't trust him, can you?" and "Al Gore, not ready for prime time".
