Hi gemsearcher,

I'm not 'short' but I do read the thread and I do own some SUF. After reading about the 'write-down', however, I wish I didn't.

Those with large positions must be kicking (or hanging) themselves. What do you do - average down and maybe lose alot more, or do you take your lick'in and go on tick'in?

Reading this report doesn't give much hope to investors. I think it really amounts to poor overall management and although they have a new head, most of the cadaver remains - and they are spread all over hell's half-acre spending money at break-neck speed - with 5 M. for this small participation and $20 M. a whole 51% of another play. Imagine how many excellent junior companies they could have acquired with these monies.

So, I really don't understand your point. But if it means that better days lie ahead, I can't wait because all the days up to now have sucked - BIGTIME!

Regards,

From 4Q report:
And I Quote: "General and administrative expenses increased 20 percent in 1999 to $3.0 million from $2.5 million in 1998, primarily because of an increased emphasis on shareholder and investor communications and professional fees incurred in the search and hiring of a new chief executive officer."

This is an insult... a half-a-million bucks because of an increased emphasis on shareholder and investor communications....and a fee for the head-hunter????

What emphasis...?
What investor communications...?
What shareholder communications...?
What's the price of a head-hunter firm...?

For half a million you can BUY a PR firm...!

I bet it paid for a lot of meals, and trips for some people!

Shame on those who paid the bills!
