Today, I was asked if I thought that the recent decline is some of my positions was taken too far. I revisited some of my earlier models and was surprised to see things cruising along just fine. Microsoft appears to be about $3-5 off course, which isn't enough to cause either worry or joy. With the 'mini-bubble' accompanying the settlement speculation now broken, MSFT has only returned to its recent DOJ influenced price pattern(s).

Price swings must be anticipated now that we're being bombarded with news and opinion as the DOJ story unfolds. Expect continued volatility. Prepare for surprises, both good and bad. Moderate your exposure to the constraints of too much margin or option leverage. Listen to contrary opinion(s) -- much is garbage, but not all. And remember: It's only money, which can be replaced quickly and easily.

Cheers, PW.
